Warrior Princess To Meet Loud-Mouthed Braggart

Most would remember that Sam Raimi was an executive producer on Xena: Warrior Princess. And many, I would hope, would remember that Bruce Campbell made infrequent appearances on the show as Autolycus, the King of Thieves. What most have probably forgotten is that Campbell cut his director's teeth on the series as well, helming two episodes of the show, and another seven on it's companion series Hercules. That he has an established relationship with Lucy Lawless, if the point I'm making here.

And she's returning the favour, having agreed to appear in the forthcoming Ash vs the Evil Dead TV series currently in production for Starz. The role is currently unknown, though Campbel did say "I expect her to hog every one of our scenes, and I’ll let her because she’s Lucy Lawless; we want her to be happy on the show and we have a very good part for her." The size of the role is also unknown, though I expect it'll be bigger and less thankless than the job she did for Agents of SHIELD this year. Yes I'm still bitter about that. You don't waste a perfectly good Lawless. The fact that she was completely and noticeably absent from Parks and Rec's final season was a hard pill to swallow, but I suppose better not to use her than to use her poorly. So I have every faith in Raimi and Campbell to put her to her best possible use. Maybe. Hopefully.
